Transformer Coloring Pages
Optimus Prime is the leader of the Autobots in The Transformers television series. He began his life on the planet Cybertron as a young dock worker named Orion Pax, until the ancient Autobot Alpha Trion rebuilt him into a warrior and he became Optimus Prime, the Autobot Commander. His alternate mode is a Freightliner FL86 cab-over-engine semi truck. This set of free printable Transformer coloring pages shows the classic Optimus Prime in a different scene on every page, and one page shows him in truck mode, ready to roll down the highway.
Some pages are pure action. Optimus runs along a desert road, lifts a giant boulder over his head in a rocky canyon, leaps across a river, carries a steel beam at a construction site and drops into a superhero landing that cracks the ground. Others are about his story: he holds the Matrix of Leadership high above his head, stands on the moon with Earth in the sky and walks through a metal city on his home planet of Cybertron. There are calmer pages too, with Optimus waving hello in the city, holding a sunflower in a meadow, looking up at the moon and stars, resting at sunset and planting a young tree in a garden. For another hero who never backs down, see the Goku coloring pages.

Coloring ideas
In his classic look, Optimus Prime has a red chest, red shoulders and red forearms, with two blue windows across his chest. His helmet, hands, lower legs and feet are blue, and his faceplate, grille, waist and thighs are silver gray. Try a bright red and a deep blue side by side to make him pop, and use a light gray pencil for the silver parts. The sky, the mountains, the forest and the city are yours to color any way you like.
Who these pages are for
The simpler pages, like Optimus standing tall, giving a thumbs up or holding a sunflower, have big shapes that are quick to fill. The busier scenes, such as the Cybertron city, the construction site, the garden and the mountain path, have lots of small pieces for older kids, teens and adults who want a longer session. Transformers fans of any age can print as many copies as they need for home or classroom use.
